Mini Band Biography/History:

Carla and Jim had been writing songs together for about 5 years and decided it was finally time to get a complete band going. They recruited Mike J to play bass and continued working out songs, played a couple impromptu performances, and kept searching for a drummer. After a couple years of searching, in April 2005 they finally convinced Mike F to join and play drums with the band and they all decided to rename the band (formerly "Punk Girlz on the Wall") to "SeaTac 67"; named after the first new song all four worked out together.  They then self-recorded and released an EP in Dec 2005 and proceeded to book and play shows.  During 2006 the band performed several shows as a Trio without Carla; at that time she wasn't comfortable performing in a live setting, but she has since changed her mind and is back.  March 2007: after recording 1 EP and 2 Full Length CDs (1 to be released soon) and performing a bunch of shows, Mike F had decided to step down as drummer.  No hard feelings: they're all still friends, plus the band members may work with Mike on some future non-SeaTac 67 related projects.

A new chapter ran it's course: Ryan joined as the new drummer in May '07. Since Ryan joined, the band worked out a set of songs to perform live, played a few shows, recored some demos of a few new songs; schedules got busy and instead of continuing on frustrated with not enough time and conflicting schedules they decided to call it a day.  Our last show was 10/18/2008.

All continue to share a love and passion for music and share strong support of independent music and the DIY community.

THE PLAYERS

Caca sings and plays guitar.  Caca grew up in the land of futebol (soccer) and samba; in the neighborhood of Leblon in the City of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  According to her; the "cidade maravilhosa" (marvelous city), is the most beautiful city on the planet.  She spent almost every day of her life while she was growing up: on the beach; surfing and playing beach soccer.  She always had an interest in music.  Her early musical influences included primarily Nirvana, Green Day, Raimundos, Charlie Brown Jr., and many other brazilian artists.  Now she spends half her day in Norwalk, OH playing guitar, writing songs, ghost hunting, and listening to music while sipping on a large glass of Long Island Iced Tea, or a small glass of "any flavored" rum.

Jim plays guitar and sings.  He grew up in the "huge" city of Port Clinton, Ohio USA.  Jim spent his young years going to school, playing sports and doing other things young kids do.  His early music listenings included radio hits, the cure, the smiths, and many other bands he'd rather not mention now.  Later in high school and in college he dug into the sounds of college radio, indie, and punk music.  In his second home South Bend, IN, after watching Ted Leo with Chisel go crazy on stage, he instantly got hooked and wanted to play music.   At that time he listened to alot of Jawbreaker, Unwound, J Church, Sonic Youth, Native Nod, Crimpshrine, and any live show he could catch.  He played bass in two bands:  Hace Frio and the Stonecutters.  Hace Frio, which included Dave, Vinnie and Rose was his first band and they were together for about 2 years, then everyone went their own ways after a final month long mini tour and a cassette length release.  The Stonecutters were a short lived pop punk band with Kate, Mike, and Mark and they played about 12 shows put out a short cassette.  Now after being out of the scene for a while Jim, now in Norwalk, OH, teamed up with Caca and spends half of his day playing guitar, writing songs, being abducted by aliens, and listening to music while drinking big mugs or cans of beer and the occasional small glass of "any flavored" rum.

Mike plays bass guitar and sings, he adds some great ideas and lot's of low end to our ensamble.  He hails out of the same stomping grounds as Jim.  Growing up and listening to so many different genres of music, you'd get confused if you asked him.  When he's not working he prefers spending his time listening to music, watching those odd animal shows and sports on TV,  researching sasquatch sitings, practicing bass and drinking large cans or bottles of beer.

Ryan just started playing drums with us in May 2007.  Ryan grew up in the huge metropolis of Norwalk, OH.  Besides furthering his quest to listen to every single good album ever recorded: Ryan spends much of his time learning the arts of recording, sound engineering, and music production.  He also spends a lot of time writing songs, recording songs, mastering any musical instrument he can get his hands on, pondering the existence of the mothman and chupacabras and performing his own songs on acoustic and electric guitar as a solo act or with friends.  He has released and will be releasing more solo material under the name "The Tired Eyes", and word has it that he might be "big in Japan" ??!!
